Infrared Sauna

Infrared saunas produce penetrating heat to help your body heal from the inside. Deeply penetrative infrared heat can help repair muscles, heal wounds, detoxify, and more! Traditional steam saunas only heat the air around you and, therefore, do not provide as many benefits. Additionally, research has shown that there are other benefits of infrared sauna use, which include helping provide deeper sleep and reducing colds and the flu.

Are infrared saunas safe?

Absolutely. There will always be studies that show inconclusive data for long-term effects. However, the obvious short-term benefits are not disputed. The pain management and detoxification benefits are great when used regularly and for the correct amount of time for each session. Use the infrared sauna daily for best results. Sessions should last about 20 minutes. Patients treating with infrared should consult a doctor before switching treatments. The sauna can be used as a supplemental treatment, working with their current treatment.

Is the heat used in infrared saunas dangerous?

No – the heat is not dangerous, so let us tell you what the infrared saunas actually are. Infrared saunas use far-infrared light to create heat. The wavelengths for infrared cannot be seen with the naked eye, but they created the penetrating heat that warms the body. Traditional saunas use hot steam to create heat. This process only warms the air around the user, which in turn, heats their skin. Infrared heat is far more useful in that it penetrates deep into the tissue, warming the body below the skin. The heat penetrates through the skin, muscle tissue, and tendons. Infrared saunas produce the same and greater benefits as a traditional sauna with less energy, no steam, and higher safety.

Safely detox the body with a sauna - Detoxing the body with infrared heat is a smart way to stay healthy. The high rate of blood flow combined with the direct heat cause the body to expel impurities. The resulting detox can improve many facets of the bodies functionality. Benefits from detox are improved sleep, clear mind, and stronger muscles. The muscles and joints are also loose. The tightness many feel after a day at work is wiped away with the penetrating heat.

Infrared Saunas For Weight Control - Infrared saunas have been shown to help combat the common symptoms linked to a variety of health conditions, including controlling weight. Combining regular sessions of infrared sauna bathing with additional lifestyle changes has the ability to make weight loss an attainable goal. Those who struggle to lose weight understand how frustrating the journey can be, but our infrared saunas and unique infrared technology are here to help!

Can Infrared Saunas Benefit Athletes?

The short answer is “yes, absolutely!” Did you know that the highest sports stars and professional athletes all invest in infrared saunas? That’s right! As muscles, joints, etc., are heavily strained during sporting events, far-infrared heat helps rejuvenate them at a rapid pace.

Fitness Benefits with Sauna Use - Infrared saunas are the perfect solution for keeping up athlete’s cardiovascular fitness while avoiding a run on a difficult weather day (days when you need a rest to allow an injury to heal, etc.). Additionally, saunas are great for warming up before stretching or starting any vigorous training athletes have. With the use of a sauna, athletes are automatically pre-warmed for stretching, skiing, running in cold conditions, etc.

Please note, for the stretching benefit from the system you will need a 40-minute sauna session before your stretching. Research indicates that stretching after a 40-minute sauna session should produce a .5 % permanent increase in your flexibility. Even one 20-minute session may create a temporary increase in your flexibility of up to 10%.

All in all, infrared saunas help to prevent injuries and enhance your ability to stay with your training program or enjoy any outdoor activity. It is great cold weather, post-activity, and warm-up.

What is Chromotherapy?

Chromotherapy, also known as Color Therapy, is an alternative holistic health treatment used to improve health and alter your mood. Chromotherapy produces different color lights within an infrared sauna to create positive change within your body as a meditative aid.

Benefits of Chromotherapy

  • Eases depression and anxiety (especially seasonal depression)
  • Improves mood
  • Improves sleep
  • Boosts energy
  • Has anti-aging properties

Why Chromotherapy Works - Light is an integral part of human life and color acts as a mood trigger, as well as a trigger for other psychological reactions. When light hits a surface, its wavelength changes and reveals its color, which helps indicate its significance to us. It’s an evolved trait for colors to have such profound effects on our mind and body. For example, bright fruit with saturated color is more appetizing than brown or pail-colored fruit because it indicates ripeness. When you look out at the deep blue ocean, you’ll feel calm. When the sun is setting with reds and oranges you feel energized. These effects are so significant that they’re often implemented to achieve an intended effect.

4 Proven Science-of-Color Cases:

  • The restaurant industry discovered that people eat more food off of red plates and less off of blue ones (notice that most fast-food chains use red/orange/yellow coloring in their branding).
  • Psych wards have changed their wallpaper color from pink to blue because it has a calming effect on their patients.
  • Orange has been proven to inspire impulsive action, which is why e-commerce companies like Amazon, Alibaba, and Etsy use orange for their call to action buttons (“Add to Cart”, “Buy Now”, etc.) and branding.
  • 95% of the world’s top 100 most recognized brands only use 1-2 colors to avoid diluting the intended reaction and maximize the brand’s recognition.

Tips for the Best Sauna Experience

  1. STRETCH BEFORE ENTERING THE SAUNA - Stretching wakes up your body, gets your blood pumping, and increases your flexibility, and these preparations will ensure that your mind, body, and health will see the greatest results after your infrared sauna session.
  2. HYDRATE YOUR BODY - They say you should drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water each day, and they’re not wrong! Keeping your body hydrated guarantees that you’ll have the stamina to enjoy an entire session of healthy heat in an infrared sauna.
  3. FIND THE RIGHT SETTINGS - Not everyone has the same body, so not everyone should have the same settings when it comes to their infrared sauna experience. If you’re looking to truly relax, then you may want to adjust the chromotherapy lighting to our cool blue, turn the heat to a lower temperature, and play some calming tunes. But, if you’re someone who wants to use the infrared sauna to feel energized, then perhaps a radiant orange, higher temperature, and an inspiring music selection is the way to go.
  4. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE BENCH - Our infrared saunas come equipped with a comfortable bench that’s stationed at just the right height, so use it! The bench gives you somewhere to put your feet up to relax, sit calmly if you want to meditate, or provides an area for you to do that stretching we talked about earlier.
